Established jointly by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, the Arizona Science Education Collaborative (ASEC) focuses on advancing STEM education by building effective partnerships between science and education researchers, technologists, K-12 teachers and administrators, and public and private sector stakeholders. ASEC serves as the hub for ASU’s STEM education community, catalyzing collaboration around issues such as retention, promoting pedagogical reforms to enhance STEM teaching, and encouraging creative thinking about how to improve student engagement and achievement in STEM. In addition, ASEC works with ASU Online, nationally recognized for its leadership in digital learning, to leverage the potentialities of technology to improve STEM learning.
