Enjoy a day of STEM at the Musical Instrument Museum, divided into two workshops. Walk away with in-class project ideas, new ways to spark conversation among students, and in-gallery activities to strengthen the connection between field trip and classroom. Attendance at both two-hour workshops is optional but encouraged!

  • 10:00 a.m.–noon
Basic physics and classification of musical instruments for elementary-aged students

  • 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Focus: Music technology, amplification, and electronic music for middle and high school-aged students

"The professional development was well balanced. Lecture, hands-on activities, guided tour and exploration. I came away feeling confident that I can make a field trip very worth the students’ STEM education."
